About Us

The mission of the Amir Khalessi Foundation is to eradicate social institutions that limit the liberties of individuals around the world.

We aspire change from the status quo by formulating, researching and disseminating ideas on the social, political, and economic conditions that cause these limits to persist. We mobilize support by building a worldwide network. We innovate solutions that take unconventional yet effective approaches to targeting global challenges. We bring our efforts together to repair our world.

Our Story

Amir A. Khalessi was born in Iran on October 3rd, 1949. He immigrated to the United States in the early 80’s and led a successful career in technology and business. He served as a vice-president of two multinational corporations. More importantly, he was a loving father who always looked after his two sons.

He raised his children telling them never to let one man suffer at the hands of another. On May 4th, 2001, Amir passed away in a car accident. His two sons have piloted this foundation in honor of his legacy. They hope, that by strengthening this foundation through academic research and technological innovation, they can keep this cause alive.
